Optical Lapping and Polishing Operator

Description:
Swift Glass Company is currently hiring an individual to be an operator in our Optical Lapping and Polishing Department. Candidates will have the capability to learn or have knowledge to do the following:

  • Operate double sided lapping and polishing machines
  • Operate specialized inspection equipment
  • Maintain equipment, tooling and work area to the high standards that are required
  • Understand manufacturing practices
  • Read blueprints, micrometers and vernier gages
  • Be flexible in moving from job to job
  • Be flexible in working overtime to accommodate workload
  • Possess a positive and responsible attitude
  • Adhere to documented quality and safety procedures
  • Meet product and customer requirements
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities

Customer Service Representative

Description:

Swift Glass Company has an immediate opening for a customer service representative. This full time position requires a candidate with excellent inter-personal skills, computer expertise and an ability to grasp company process capabilities as well as technical properties of glass. The successful candidate will be able to communicate with customers via phone and internet as well as have the ability to coordinate customer requirements with order scheduling. An ability to quickly and successfully develop a relationship with a subset of current customers to ensure Swift Glass’s customer requirements are being met is necessary for the successful candidate. An associate’s degree and a minimum of 2 years customer service experience in a manufacturing industry preferred but not required.
